| Our question of the day March 2nd was, What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book? The children then tallied their votes. The winner was The Cat in the Hat. |
| After reading The Cat in the Hat, the children shared some of the rhyming words in the story with their partners. They then wrote a pair of rhyming words on a hat and colored it. We hung them on our classroom door. |

| We also made Cat in the Hat hats for our heads. I used the instructions from Hubbard's Cupboard. The hats were easy to make and the kids loved them. |
